Classes

 Adult Entries (16 & over)

Vegetable categories - grown in the: garden, greenhouse, plot, allotment or windowsill etc.

·         Longest runner bean, photograph it against a tape measure.

·         Largest vegetable, such as: pumpkin, onion, courgette, butternut squash….

·         Five potatoes (of any variety) which have been grown by you.

·         Four carrots, parsnips, onions, tomatoes, leeks, celery, peppers, beetroot.

·         Two lettuces or Swedes, turnips, celeriac, cabbages, cucumbers, courgettes….

·         Wonkiest shaped vegetable, any variety.

Fruit categories - photograph of the tree or bush

·         Apples or pears or rhubarb or berries or any other fruit.

Flower category

·         An indoor flowering pot plant, grown by you

·         Any flowers growing in your own garden.

Floral art category 

·         Design a floral display, using real or artificial flowers, with one ‘prop’ of your choice that reflects your feelings during lockdown.

·          Create a buttonhole.

·          Create an arrangement in an eggcup.

Home baking category 

·         Bake your favourite 'lockdown cake or cakes or biscuits' with a recipe and a photograph.

Art category 

·         Photograph something you have created. It might be a painting, drawing, or collage and in any medium, surprise us.

Craft category 

·           Photograph something you have made. For example: wood carving, knitted, crochet or sewing item, or something else, surprise us.


 

Photography category 

·         Using only what you have in your home or garden to recreate any famous painting in photograph form. Then send your photograph along with the name of the famous painting you are recreating.

·         Take a photograph of any image around your village or garden. For example: landscape, animals, birds, UFO, or something else.

Digital Craft

·           Create a digital logo for Llanteg Gardening Group.


 

Children’s Categories:
Age 5 & under

Age 6 – 11

Age 12 - 15

Craft

·         Make a greetings card.

·         Create a model from Lego or similar material.

·         Create something from recycled materials.

·         Create a shoe box size garden.

·         Decorate a pebble with paints...

·         Create something from driftwood.

Cooking 

·         Make three decorated biscuits or cakes with a rainbow or bee, or flower design.

Photography 

·         Take a photograph of your pet or an animal found in your garden or on your walk around the countryside, include a comical caption if you can.
